update

So it's been a while. I just havent had anything to say or update.. I started a clothing drive here in St. Bernard Parish for the victims of hurricane Ike.. It was quite successful I think! I'm really excited about how much we got to send off.. I'll have pics of the stuff later. I think my next project is going to be a canned food drive for the community center's Thanksgiving Dinner. I have it all planned out.. we'll see.. Here's a few random pics from the past few weeks. I think anyone who is reading this probably already saw all of these though.

 So the president was here today.. I tried to get to where he was but it was kinda impossible, I did get a few pics of the helicopters that brought him in.. I think the one with the flag on it was his..

Been a while

 I havent been here in a while. It's been rainy and gross. Today was Paul's first day of school! He cried.. Poor guy. Here's the pics. That's Cousin Robbie giving him some encouragement.

Yesterday

Have I mentioned that I'm ready for School? Ugh, I tried to take the kids to the park yesterday but it was really too hot and they were so miserable so that didnt work out so well, there was all the usual whining about wanting something to drink and it being too hot. SO after only about 10 minutes we came home. Paul jr had soccer practice in the evening and that went well, so since it was much cooler at 7 than it was at 1, we tried the park again. First, the park is still kinda yuck from the storm, they are trying to get it back together but of course it is taking forever. Though they did just rebuild the main playground and had some wonderful volunteers from all over come help rebuild it and even more donate the materials.. Here is how much our lovely parish appreciates their help.

Hi! Not much going on today, it's a rainy day again due to the storm in the Gulf today.  We are stuck in the house again with NO activities that I can think of. I'm sure there is something we can do.  We did try to run some errands earlier this morning, I wanted to try to catch a little kitten I've been seeing at my post office but of course after feeding it for 3 days it's gone now, i really hope someone caught it.

Well it's not even 9:30 and the kids have already drove me nuts. It's earlier and earlier everyday. Thank god school starts soon. I havent even registered the oldest for the local school here. I guess I should do that on monday.  It's friday but it doesnt feel like a weekend of course. We don't have plans. We never do.  Last night was was P's first soccer practice. He did  pretty good, well as good as a 5 year old can. I'm not a sports fan at all so this is our first experience with any of the kids playing anything. I think I'll like soccer but I'm not looking forward to football. Here's a few pics of his practice. 

I hope we can find an activity today. It's rainy already but it'll just get super hot in a bit. So we can't go out cause it's rainy and we can't go out cause it's too hot. Any suggestions? I'm sure I've tried it though.
